EBSCOhost Account

The company EBSCO curates the majority of our database systems. EBSCOhost is the online platform for accessing those databases.

An account with EBSCO will enable you to save articles to a personal folder, check out eBooks, and subscribe to digital journals. Once you have created an account, you can use it in all EBSCO databases.

To create your account, follow the steps listed below.

Create an EBSCOhost Account

Begin by navigating to any EBSCO database from our databases page.

  1. Click Sign in on the blue bar in the upper right corner of any EBSCOhost database.

Alternatively, EBSCO now allows you to sign in using a Google account. If you choose to sign in through Google, you will be taken to a standard Google log-in screen, which will allow you to bypass the following steps. The functionality will be the same regardless of whether you use a Google account or create a new account with EBSCO.

  3. Fill out the form, which will require Name, Username, Email, Password, and a Security Question. It is recommended that you use your NWOSU email address to create this account.

  4. Once you have created your account, EBSCO maintains for you a folder where you can save articles of interest or see the eBooks that you have checked out. You can also save searches or create subscriptions to journals from your account.
