Two of our databases, the Gale Virtual Reference Library and the Gale Literature Resource Center, are currently inaccessible from off campus. We are working to fix the problem. The databases are, however, still accessible from any of our campus locations.

If you need access to the Gale Literature Resource Center and are unable to visit a campus, we recommend using the comparable database, Bloom's Literature, as an alternative. This database is password-protected, so please contact the research librarian at dgdavidson@nwosu.edu for access information.

If you are off campus and need access to information in either of these Gale databases, please email dgdavidson@nwosu.edu with your research request.

Dirt road through grassy field in daytime

Ah, spring! That magical time of year when a young student’s studies turn to exams!

This year gave us a double whammy with Saint Patrick’s Day kicking off spring break on Sunday the 17th, undoubtedly giving everyone extra reasons to be celebratory. But now that you have had a chance to forget everything over this extra-enthusiastic spring break, it is time once again to hit the books. Don't forget that fall enrollment begins March 26, tax day is April 15, and Easter comes shortly thereafter on April 21.

Final exams will roll around beginning on May 7, which will be here sooner than you think. Remember that the library is back to regular hours starting on Sunday, March 24, when we open at 1:00 PM and stay open until midnight. We're here to help you find your information, and the research librarian is on hand to assist with term papers and other projects.

And though we are legally required to refrain from giving tax advice, we can direct you to resources on that subject.
