The content of each database varies:
- Some materials are full-text, but some are not.
- Some materials are scholarly whereas some are popular.
- Some databases cover almost every topic while others focus on a specific area.

- Why search here? This database contains peer-reviewed articles on almost every academic subject.
- What’s included? Contents include over 7,300 full-text journals and 1,200 full-text magazines, as well as abstracts for articles in an additional 12,500 journals.

DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high-quality open-access, peer-reviewed journals.

Project MUSE offers complete, full-text versions of scholarly journals and books from many of the world’s leading university presses and scholarly societies.
- Retraction Watch
Tracking retractions as a window into the scientific process.
Retraction Watch is an open-access database of peer-reviewed articles that have been retracted, or about which concern has been formally expressed. Database entries contain citation information, the article’s current status, and the reasons why the article has been retracted or is considered questionable.

- Why search here? ArchiveGrid brings together information about archives and manuscript collections from all over the country.
- What’s included? This service aggregates finding aids (i.e., names and short descriptions) of historical documents, personal papers, family histories, and other records. OAIster is a union catalog of millions of records that represent open-access resources.

MasterFILE Complete contains full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues, and much more.
- Newspaper Source Plus
Newspaper Source Plus includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles.
- Newswires
EBSCO’s Newswires provides near real-time access to top world-wide news from Associated Press, United Press International, PR Newswire, Xinhua, CNN Wire, and Business Wire on a continuous basis.
- TOPICsearch
