ENGL 4263 20th & 21st-Century British Novel
Description
Retrospective of the 20th-century British novel, focusing on the shift in the center of gravity from England itself to the colonies, modernism, and the narrative necessities that arise from different cultures and politics. A strong emphasis on critical reading and writing skills will be incorporated into a study of themes and techniques of selected British novelists.
